Is Music really hurting our teens?
                                      
For centuries upon centuries there has been a growing and changing music epidemic. It is evident that the music we listen to today is tremendously different form that of our parents and grandparents, but is that really a good thing. As I listen to songs that are created today, there seems to be a disconnect with the reality in the world and just making plain old sweet music that you can vibe to.
 
Teenagers are now inspired by rappers that constantly curse and talk about cranking ho's etc. These teens get dragged into the hype because it may be a hot beat or an artist that they like. But is this really music?
 
How can we define music when it depends on the persons perception. If we are to look at the past icons, we see that each one is unique. Now I am not saying that no good music exists today because there are a lot of artists that I love in all genres but the meaning behind it, I feel has slowly been forgotten. Hopefully i will be able to change this someday when my songs come out.
